Soap making can seem a little daunting until you actually understand the chemistry, know the safety precautions and see the process demonstrated – before having a go yourself.
With over thirty clients on the waiting list for soap making classes we figured it was time to grab the diary and set some dates. We’ve mainly set Saturdays aside for workshops, but have also included a Friday session. We’ve attempted to set dates to coincide with school holidays and special weekend events here on the Granite Belt, so there’s plenty of options. Make the most of the weekend and explore the wineries, restaurants, cheese and chocolate makers…
During the class, each participant will make approximately 1 kg of soap (around 8-10 bars), which will be yours to take home with you.
-tea, coffee and a light bite on arrival,
-all ingredients and utensils to make your soap,
-soap making instructions and notes,
-safety glasses, gloves and apron for your use during class,
-a light lunch,
-your own handmade soap to take home,
-10pc discount off Washpool Farm Soaperie purchases.
The following dates have been set…
Saturday 31 August 2013 One spot left - don't delay!
Saturday 21 September 2013
Saturday 12 October 2013 Booked out
Friday 15 November 2013 Three spots left
Saturday 14 December 2013
Classes will run in the morning from 9am until 2pm and class size is limited to 6 participants. The cost is $165 per person. To make a booking and organise payment, please email Melissa. Due to the nature of materials being handled, this is an adult class.
Please note – we’re happy to schedule mid week classes if there’s enough demand, so if you would prefer a different time slot please let me know and we’ll try to work something out.
